When a house has good bones, it's easy to be inspired. This Fayetteville, NC home has an incredible exterior and we're excited to show you how we would update the interior to match. With strong lines and a common finish selection found in our social areas each adjacent space feels open and connected. This design project is all about celebrating those natural elements and complementing them with fun uses of color, pattern, and graphics - highlighting those desirable characteristics of our theme. Check back as we update this page weekly on our design decisions from each room!
Kitchen
Embracing one of the hallmarks of Mid-Century Modern design, this kitchen isn't afraid of bold, contrasting colors. Geometric tile in burnt orange, cream and a hint of deep green ties together the mossy cabinet color, marbled countertops and warm hued wood. Add in a stand alone island, white appliances and an updated sunburst pendant light and this kitchen hits the note between retro and modern.
Living Room
Floor to ceiling windows, the brick wall encasing an off centered fireplace and wood cladding, this space is boasting strong, clean lines which is the perfect anchor for its adjacent spaces. By resurfacing the wood cladding, brightening the brick wall, floor and fireplace, the updated space will take full advantage of the natural light flowing in, adding a fresh look to this social area. A rich orange sofa and abstract rug creates a sense of sophistication, and adds color, speaking to the Mid-Century Modern style.
